RCAC Mourns the loss of Radio Host Fred Honsberger

The Republican Committee of Allegheny County extends its deepest sympathies to the family of Fred Honsberger. Fred was truly the voice of Pittsburgh and his passing will create a huge void in the Pittsburgh community.

Fred spoke very openly of his faith and one of Fred’s favorite charities was the Salvation Army. You can make a donation in his memory at the virtual kettle found at www.kdkaradio.com

In Memory of Bea Browand

It is with great sadness that RCAC has learned of the passing of Bea Browand. Bea was a member of the Upper St. Clair Republican Committee, a member of the Republican Committee of Allegheny County and a member of the Republican State Committee.

Bea was an inspiration to all of us. She was energetic, cheerful, kind, and a tireless grassroots worker with a sharp mind who enjoyed talking policy and debating. She could be a fierce debater but never got angry at those who disagreed with her. Her wit and wisdom and friendly spirit will sorely be missed by the Republican Party.

Because of her tireless work for the Republican Party, Bea was the recipient of the RCAC “Spirit of Lincoln” award several years ago for the best grassroots worker of the year.

Bea is survived by her husband, Tom, and two sons.
